BEBOS BAPTISM! yay!‏

This past friday we were able to have the baptism of Bebo and it ended up having a good number of people there to support him! Bebo said that he felt a lot better after he was baptized and that he was able to feel peace! ahh we are so happy!!! ill be sure  to send a photo so you all can see. Now we have baptized Scarlet (bebos older sister) and Bebo and now we are going to start working really hard with the mom so hopefully things start to turn out! its tough to get people to the church because it is a 30 minute walk on busy roads and the members will take buses to get there but you have to pay them and not all of them have enough money. its even harder when you´ve got a family that you want to take to church cause you have to pay for every single person. we are working with the branch and district president to see what we can do about putting a church closer down where everyone lives or we are trying to see if the church would be able to create a fund to pay for the members to get to where the church is at because the church that our branch goes to is shared by two branches. the church is in the area of the other branch and this one where we work doesnt have one so its a little frustrating. things are going good though! other things that happened this week is that one of the member kids made me and my comp some homemade dominican kites!! kites here are really popular for the kids to play with so we asked the member kid if he could make us some so that we could fly some! ill take pictures and send them when we do it! another good thing is that moses our dog is now back out and following us around again! he healed really fast which is surprising since he got ran over by a truck but its fun to have him out with us again!! love that dog!  and my final exciting thing for the week is that we have an american family that lives in our area and the wife made us food saturday night to congratulate us on our baptism! Sister Kim made us enchiladas and oh my goodness i was on cloud 9!! haha i never thought i would appreciate such simple food but wow i think that was one of the best meals ive had in over a year!!! anyways, that was my week in a nutshell! love you guys and i hope everyone is doing good back home!
Love,
Elder Herring
