My final week!!‏

Wow these 2 years have flown by!! this last week we are going to work really hard and put as many baptismal dates as possible before i come home!  it has been awesome to be able to help so many people and share the gospel with them. i honestly will miss a lot of things here and especially the people! ive never met a people more crazy but yet loving at the same time!! Dominicans have big hearts and no matter who you are, they always care about you and want to help you out! im so excited to see everyone again but the adjustment to living back home and not in the mission is going to be a little odd at first!! thank you all for your support and love that you have given to me in these past 2 years!! the mission has changed me as a person and im so grateful for this chance that i was given. it wasnt easy but it was well worth it!! love you guys and i cant wait to see you all next week!!

Times a tickin!‏

This past saturday we were able to have Vivianas baptism and a lot of members showed up to support her!! even the mission president, his wife, and the AP´s came to the baptism! It was a really special experience and im glad that i was able to baptize her! the spirit was really strong and everything felt like it was perfect! its sad thinking that i wont be having those types of experiences anymore but it will be good to see family and friends again!! its odd to think that i only have 2 weeks left and thats it but ill keep working hard even though its hard not to get trunky! haha anyways, love you guys and hope you all have a great week!!

Final Transfer Call!

President Hernandez called me on saturday and informed me that i will be spending my last transfer in the capitol as a District Leader and training a North American from Texas! Im super excited and am glad to have been given this opportunity! I know that by having this position and companion, it will help me to keep working hard to the end! i cannot believe that i only have 6 weeks left in the mission! where has the time gone? This past week has just been full of preparation for the new missionaries that are coming. There will be 4 missionaries now here in Oranjestad and 2 sister missionaries in San Nicolas. We had to find a house to fit the 4 missionaries that are coming here so we have been trying to get contracts signed and beds bought and all of the other fun stuff that comes along with more missionaries coming! Its amazing how much love that the members have shown to us as we have been telling them that we are leaving! Its amazing how you dont really realize how many people you have helped until it is time to leave! Im really going to miss Aruba and the members here. But i know that the Lord has more work for me to do in the DR before i finish my mission so i will keep working hard! Love you guys and I hope you all have a great week! If you have time, read Alma 32 and really reflect on where you stand with your faith in the Lord!

....and that's all folks!

My time here in Aruba is about up! its interesting how the Lord will make time move so quickly, especially when you are working really hard and doing all that you can! things here have been great! we were able to watch conference here at the church and the church building here was just built 4 months ago so everything is brand new. It was amazing how many questions i was able to have answered from what the Prophet and Apostles spoke of! i hope that all of you were able to find answers to your questions as well! Its sad that conference comes and goes so quickly but thats just more reason to get prepared for the upcoming conference!
This week we did a whole bunch of service! first, we helped Brother Odor (one of the first members baptized here in Aruba in the 80's) clean up his yard because he threw out his back and couldnt lift anything. it was nice just to talk with him and help him out after all that hes done for this branch! then another day, we helped Bro. Yuyez (from Peru and served his mission in Peru) remodel his kitchen! we had to do a bunch of stuff and in the end, we had a bunch of dust up our noses and in our lungs! haha but it was a good experience!
Our investigators here are really coming along! Sis. Emily (Recent Convert) keeps bringing a bunch of friends with her to church so we are teaching 3 of her friends and they are really progressing! hopefully we can put a couple baptismal dates with them this week! Then, a lady named Margo (from Colombia) contacted us in the street and we have passed by her house twice and she brought her whole family to church on sunday! We talked to her after and she told us that she felt great just being united with her family and the positive environment of the church!
Its sad to think that i will be leaving Aruba next tuesday but i know that the work will continue with the new missionaries that are coming! Speaking of new missionaries, we have been trying to find a new apartment that is big enough for 4 missionaries but what we have found so far hasnt been that great or the landlords say no. Hopefully we can find something in the next week so that they will have a place to stay!! Love you guys and i hope that you all have a great week!
