Anyway, i don't know why i have never mentioned this earlier but the area
that im in is La Romana and this area is known for their sugar plant. A
huge percent of the population that live here work at the sugar cane
factory. its kind of close to our house and so we constantly hear trains
going in and out of the factory and at times it can be annoying cause
all we hear day and night is the sound of train horns! oh and there is
this thing here that the people call Kacheepa which is pretty much just
ash in the sky. So this sugar cane plant puts a ton of pollution into the
sky but then this ash rains down all over everything! its not too bad
except that when it gets into your eyes it hurts way bad!!! on the plus
side, it always smells really sugary and sweet like molasses all the
time around here! I took a picture and i think it will be on my blog but
you will be able to see the train behind me with all of the sugar cane
packed into it. but other than that, missionary work and life is going
great! Our investigators that we are trying to get married just got
money from the bishop so we are going to see if we can get it done this
week! anyways love and miss you guys and i hope everyone is doing great
back home!
Love,
Elder Herring
