Oh the life of a missionary‏

Its interesting to think that as a missionary, you can only do so much for an investigator but they have to do the rest! Marisa, the lady that we´ve been working with for the past couple months still hasn´t come to church for the second time so that she can be baptized. the thing with her is that she works at the tobacco factory so she has four days working from six at night to six in the morning and then four days off. so practically every other month she doesn´t work on the weekends. well we are still in the month where she does have to work on the weekends so when she gets off of work at six in the morning after smelling tobacco for 12 hours straight, all she wants to do is sleep. so now we are going to try talking to her this week and see what we can do. we are thinking that we will just have to wait until she has the month where she doesnt work on the weekends, and we think that that will be very soon because its almost been a month since she´s had to work on the weekends.
Its really fun to be a missionary and see the change that the gospel makes in peoples lives but you can only do so much as a missionary and then you have to pray. I have definitely learned the power that prayer has so for anyone back home that is struggling and needing answers to questions... PRAY! why? because you will receive your answer! Also this past week we have started to teach a family and they came to church yesterday! the youth of the ward had their first EFY in this country and the bishop had all the youth that went to the camp get up and share their testimonies. it was seriously one of the most spiritual sacrament meetings i have ever been in!! the mom of the family that came to church for her first time started crying because she felt the spirit so strong!! YES! the power of the gospel is incredible!! anyways things here are going good and transfer calls are coming up next sunday night so i will let you guys know whats going to happen next monday when i write again! love you guys and i hope everyone is doing great back home!!
Love,
Elder Herring
