Final Week of the Transfer!

Its hard to imagine but i am already 1/4 of the way done with my mission! Time seriously flies on the mission!! So this past week has been very eventful! One of our investigators is getting baptized this coming Saturday and his name is Randy! He´s a really really cool guy and he is so open and accepting to the gospel! its amazing the people that are prepared for the gospel! then another one of our investigators asks us everytime we go to his house when we can baptize him! He has to get married to his wife first and he knows it so right now he´s doing everything he can to get married so that he and his family can get baptized! Missionary works is really fun and fulfilling when you find people like that that are just ready and open to hear and accept the gospel!
So the food here in the DR is really good but everyone here cooks their food with a ton of oil!! haha after eating a Dominican meal you feel like you just put on 50 pounds but oh man it is good! Oh and another thing is that this week is the last week of the transfer and then we get transfer calls next Sunday night so we will see if i stay in this area and with my companion! Transfer calls are really fun but crazy cause you never know whats going to happen! There are 16 transfers in the mission and im already going to be starting my 4th!! crazy!! I'm loving the sun out here but at times it is so hot that you just sweat sitting there cause its so humid! I am now learning to appreciate the snow back home!! oh and also it was my comps birthday this past Sunday (27th) but it was also mothers day here in the DR so we celebrated it by making a bunch of homemade smoothies and made pancakes cause there wasn´t really much else that we could do!  well anyways that's it for this week! Things here are going great and i get more and more comfortable with the mission as time goes on! anyways love you guys and i hope everyone is doing great back home!!
Love,
Elder Herring
