OK so im going to do a quick run down. Ami ta hopi dushi y mi sa ku
mi korpo ta manera un cacho! Ami sa kiko mi ta bisa y tambe parese hopi
nechi! Mi kere ku mi ta bai trese un chic na mi cas e dia ku mi ta
yega. haha yep. that's a little bit of Papiamento for you! ok so this
Friday night, we had an activity in the other branch (Oranjestad) and we
played some soccer but I ended up rolling my ankle so now its wrapped
up! so this sunday is transfers for the elders in the DR but the ones
here in the islands already know their transfers because they have plane
tickets months in advance. well, elder Madrid (my comp) got a call from
President Hernandez (mission pres) on Saturday night and he told him
that he would be going back to the DR on Monday morning to be the new
office elder. He was super surprised because he was supposed to be in
the islands (Aruba, Bon Aire, and Curacou) until February of 2014! haha
so he left this morning and im going to be in a trio for this week
because the elder that is coming out here (Elder Villareal from
California) doesn't have a flight until next sunday! so ill be comps
again with Elder Peterson (my kid) and Elder Thornock (in my group).
wow! things changed quickly! Sunday night, we went to a party that a few
of the branch members threw for us! we ate at one of the members
restaurants and had some good food!! there is also an old missionary
here that recently got married so he's here on his honeymoon and he
served here in 2010. His last name is Wilkes. so the branch did a double
party for Madrid leaving and for Wilkes visiting with his wife! it was a
super fun day! Im just lovin life out here in the islands! love you
guys and I hope everyone is doing good!
Love,
Elder Herring
P.S. we are going to eat at Taco Bell right now!!! woohoo!
