Adventures in Aruba!
Ok so this week was pretty fun! we started working again because Elder Madrids knee felt a lot better! then we went to pick up an official document at that place that was extending the time of my visa and they told us that we were missing some kind of tourist insurance. so we had to go through another long process and buy tourist insurance! joy. but we were able to get it all fixed and i go into that place again today to pick up the document. Other stuff that happened this week is i was able to try my first pickled HERRING!! haha it was actually pretty good!! a member thought it was funny that my name was Herring so he decided to go and buy me some so that i could try it! not too bad! then to make the week amazing, i called Elder Chavez (my last comp in the DR) and he told me that Maribels two kids Etna and Diego were able to get baptized!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!! i was super excited about that one!! that made my week amazing! last thing is that this morning before we came to email, we decided to go to a beach by our house called Rogers Beach and Elder Madrid went and ran around while i took a bunch of pictures so ill send some! Really fun week and as for our investigators, we are going to hopefully be putting to baptismal dates very very soon! one is a lady named Silvia that Elder Madrid was already working with before i came and the other is a lady named Jovanca that we contacted the first week i came here to Aruba! Loving the area and loving the work! love you guys!
Love,
Elder Herring
