Flood!!‏

This past week was sooo funn!! As of right now i am serving in the La Romana area of the DR and it doesn´t rain very much here from what the people say but they say that when it does rain, it rains really really hard and it floods really bad! And that is exactly what happened last tuesday, wednesday, and thursday!! it was so cool! It rained pretty hard on tuesday and wednesday but when thursday came around, the storm seemed like it exploded!! it was awesome! there was really really bright flashes of lightning and thunder so loud that your ears started to wring afterwards! The rain came down so thick that you couldn´t see across the street! yep it was just that intense. so me and my comp were at an investigators house but he wasnt there so some lady let us in here front porch and we waited for close to an hour thinking that the rain would stop but it just kept pouring so finally the lady gave us a couple umbrellas (we forgot ours in the house) and we started trying to walk home. but there was a problem. the road that we take to get home was 4 feet under water and cars were dying because their engines were sucking up water! so we decided it would be best to just roll up our pants and walk through the water! then as we were walking home, some guy was pushing his motorcycle down the road cause the deep water had killed it and the street literally looked like a raging river and this guys motorcycle fell over and the river started to take it away down the street!! So my comp. hurry and ran out and grabbed the bike and helped the guy get it to the side where he could wait! we went home and made hot chocolate and just stayed at home the rest of the night cause it was chaos outside! i sent some pictures home of us in our apartment after the flood so you guys should be able to see! then on sunday (yesterday) we were having sacrament meeting and like usual, the sacrament gets passed around and so i picked up a piece of the bread to eat it and i didnt notice but all of the bread was green because it was all moldy!! so i put the bread in my mouth without noticing and bit down on it and for some reason it tasted like someone had put oregano seasoning on it so i hurry and looked at the tray as i was passing it to the next person and i noticed that it was all covered in mold!! gross!! im surprised that the priests decided that it was fine to pass it out to everyone so we went and talked to them after sacrament meeting and asked what happened and they told us that the bishop had brought it like that! haha welcome to ward´s in the DR! oh and then today our zone went to Higuey to see the Basilica that is a catholic church! it was really cool! i attached some photos for you guys to see! anyways thats it for this past week! love you guys and hope everyone is doing well!
