Transfers, another Hurricane, and baptisms!8-27-12
This past week was really fun and also very anticlamatic! So this past
week we got a call from the zone leaders saying that we had to stay
inside on friday and on saturday because another hurricane was
supposedly coming straight for us. so we stayed in the house all of
friday and it rained pretty hard and there was some wind but nothing
serious. then saturday we were supposed to have our two baptisms at 6pm
and we called the zone leaders to make sure that we could still have it
but they told us some crazy rules that we would have to do to be able to
have the baptisms. long story short..... we had the 2 baptisms of Bobby
and Penelopy!! its really fun to have baptisms because everyone is so
happy and although its a little stressful to make sure that everything
goes perfect, in the end everything is just right! love it!! The baptism
went really smooth and a lot of members ended up coming for it also!
now we are going to put our focus on their mom Nancy and try to see if
we can have some really really good lessons and get here married and
then baptized! ka–ching!
Then we received transfer calls this past sunday night and i cannot
believe whats going to happen!! so i had a feeling that me and Elder
Bullen would stay together and then i also thought that i might have a
chance of leaving this area but no. So what happened is Elder Bullen is
going into the capital and im staying here and getting a new comp. named
Elder Guerrero who is from Las Vegas. Crazy! i never would have guessed
that one! i feel like i have sooo much time in this area and by the time
this next transfer ends, ill have a totally of 6 months here!! thats
one fourth of my mission!! its fun to see how fast time is flying by
though! Everythings going good here and the work is really progressing.
we have a bunch of hope for a few investigators we have so we´ll see how
things go! anyways love you guys and hope everyones doing great back
home!

One week before transfer calls!! 8-20-12
Next sunday we get transfer calls!! i feel like ive been in this area
for a long time! its been since april! ok so a few things that have been
going on this past week! my trainer Elder Jensen got this thing called
the ¨dangay¨ and its something like the west nile virus so you get it
from mesquitos. He had to go stay overnight in the presidents house on
overnight medical watch because apparently this thing is really really
bad and 9 people have already died from it! Also my companion Elder
Bullen has been really sick the past week and so we havent been able to
work very hard cause he is always tired... and i mean ALWAYS! he never
has energy so its tough to push him to do stuff cause we are already out
in the sun all day everyday and with his sickness, it makes things
pretty hard on him. he´s trucking through it though and hes getting his
blood taken today to see if they can figure out whats going on. Also
this past week Elder Bullen and I sung in church during sacrament
meeting! haha it was kind of a last minute thing but it turned out
really good and the whole ward was really excited when they heard that
we would be singing! good experience! im glad that i took chamber choir!
Also this upcoming saturday we will be having 2 baptisms!!!!!!! Bobby
and Penelopy got interviewed last saturday and they are super smart so
they easily passed. we are hoping that by them getting baptized, it will
give the mom more of a push to try and get her ¨husband¨ married to
her. Things here are going good and we are having a lot of success!
